Build a Solid Foundation in Welding Skills

If you are interested in starting a job as a welder – fast – then this program will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to earn an industry-recognized welding certification: American Welding Society Code D1.1 – carbon steel plate test.

With this certification, you can get started in an entry-level welding position, working in a shop or in industry. As a welder, you could work on projects like putting together sheet metal ductwork for an air-ventilation system, or you might repair automobile parts. You could also work in a large industry, like building bridges or steel frames for construction.

This program provides a comprehensive introduction to welding, including occupational safety, metal selection, welding techniques, and identification of basic welding symbols and codes. Students gain hands-on experience with groove and fillet welds on carbon steel and an overview of various welding processes, including oxy-fuel, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW. Practical instruction also covers welding inspection methods, helping students build a foundation for more advanced welding work.

This program is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in welding or those interested in the skilled trades. It’s designed for beginners, so no previous welding experience is required. If you enjoy hands-on work, have an interest in metalworking, and want a career in a high-demand field, this program offers essential skills and knowledge for entry-level welding positions.
