Help Others Reach Their Fitness Goals
If you love staying fit and active, and want to help others do the same, then a career as a personal fitness trainer could be an ideal fit for you. Personal trainers work in gyms, fitness centers, colleges and universities, and health and wellness clinics.
As a personal fitness trainer, you may work one-on-one with clients, small groups, or lead fitness classes. You would design exercise programs, guide clients through routines that include cardio exercise, strength training, stretching, nutrition, and wellness.
As a fitness trainer, you will need to know the basics of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, and more. You will help clients perform exercises to perform better, achieve fitness goals, reduce pain, and live more active lives.
The personal training industry has seen sustained high growth over the past few decades and by leveraging digital access, is projected to continue to increase.
